Wow, some great totals out of this storn and it’s not over yet. New snow here is as of Tuesday morning. Storm totals are since Saturday morning.

Here are some highlights for this weekend: Sandia Peak open Friday through Sunday… Taos has the Taos Freeride Championships Thursday through Saturday... Pajarito reopens Wednesday and has weekday ticket deals... Taos Freeride Championships are Thursday through Saturday. This is the 2017 as a 4 Star Freeride World Tour Qualifying (FWQ) event. Taos is the oldest FWQ event in the Americas and several of the athletes who have competed here have gone on to qualify for the elite Freeride World Tour (FWT). This big-mountain competition will be held on Taos' famed steep terrain, with venues including the ragged chutes and cliffs of the West Basin and the incomparable Kachina Peak.

The Kachina Peak Lift is open as conditions and weather allow. All the chutes are open now on a rotating basis.

With the purchase of a full-day, full-price child or teen lift ticket, one adult ticket is free.  Deals: There are several ways to save money: There are two for one Tuesdays, Carload Wednesdays (where up to 5 ski or ride for $50 total) and Local Appreciation Thursdays (where adult and teen tickets are $25, kids tickets are $15) nearly every week through early March. Also, kids 6 and younger, 4th graders, 5th graders (report card required) and guests ages 40, 60 or 70 years and better ski FREE everyday. In addition, active military members ski FREE, just bring your active military I.D. to the ticket window and receive a FREE lift ticket.
