The storm earlier this week freshened up the slopes with a little fresh powder. Storm totals here are Sunday night through Tuesday morning. There is a slight chance a weekend storm could bring in some more powder, but it’s not looking promising.

Here are some highlights for this weekend: Sandia Peak open Friday through Monday (open this coming Monday for President’s Day)... Santa Fe has opened the terrain park... Taos has most chutes open and the Kachina Peak Lift running... Pajarito has weekday ticket deals and will be open Monday... Sipapu has weekday ticket deals and the February Fun Fest this weekend… Purgatory has week-day ticket deals and a rail jam Saturday night… Wolf Creek has the President’s Fun Race on Sunday.

February Fun Fest is on this weekend Saturday through Monday with the snow castle, treasure hunt and costume contest.

Deals: There are several ways to save money: There are two for one Tuesdays, Carload Wednesdays (where up to 5 ski or ride for $50 total) and Local Appreciation Thursdays (where adult and teen tickets are $25, kids tickets are $15) nearly every week through early March. Also, kids 6 and younger, 4th graders, 5th graders (report card required) and guests ages 40, 60 or 70 years and better ski FREE everyday. In addition, active military members ski FREE, just bring your active military I.D. to the ticket window and receive a FREE lift ticket.
