According to Bump Williams Consulting, a firm that tracks sales of alcoholic beverages at supermarkets, convenience and liquor stores, the best-selling beer in the U.S. is Modelo Especial.
It claimed the number one spot after beating out Bud Light in May 2023 and remains there as its sales are up 12% so far in 2024, compared to last year.
Bud Light is still in second place, despite sales being down 28% from a year ago.
Sales of non-alcoholic beer are up 32.6% so far this year, according to the data.
