Dear Mommy squad,

We have 2 daughters, 7 & 12. I have always been the mom that insists on keeping them busy and engaged during the summer. Both of my daughters have complained that they feel like they get no real break during the summer, especially my 12 year old. My daughters usually are enrolled in 2-3 different activities each. I feel like it's my job as a mom to not let them sit around and do nothing. If I just put them in 1 activity they still will have to much free time. In my opinion, it is their "job" to learn and experience new things. My husband has picked their side in this. He says I need to give them a summer off  because they are burned out by over scheduling. How can a summer camp, or art class burn a kid out? Am I being unreasonable?
