The latest such incident occurred yesterday toward the end of Uruguay's 1-0 World Cup victory over Italy, which eliminated the latter team from championship contention. Suárez  has been suspended twice before for biting opponents, and could be benched for the remainder of the tournament for sinking his teeth into Giorgio Chiellini's shoulder. After the match, Suarez denied using his teeth in a malicious manner, while Chiellini countered, "Suárez is a sneak, and he gets away with it because FIFA wants their stars to play in the World Cup.”
