Hollywood is still in shock over news that George Clooney is engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin. But the news is real – his mother said so. Nina Clooney was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying, “You can say I'm extremely happy, Amal's a lovely girl.”

As if that weren’t enough to make us believe the unbelievable, Alamuddin’s law firm also released this statement yesterday: "The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married.

Mama Clooney also gave some insight as to why George chose Amal. She said, “On an intellectual level, they are equals. That is very important to him. Amal’s world couldn’t be more different from the Hollywood lifestyle.”

Here's something you probably never thought you'd here, Paul Simon was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The 72-year-old and his wife, 47-year-old Edie Brickell, were each charged after police investigated a "family dispute" at their New Canaan, Connecticut house. According to NBC Connecticut, local police originally said Simon was arrested on "some sort of a domestic violence charge."

Later that morning, however, a statement was released saying the charges were of disorderly conduct and that both Simon and Brickell were released on a promise to appear. Appear the couple did, and they both down played the incident. "Both of us are fine together. We had an argument. It's atypical," Simon told the judge. "He's no threat to me at all," Brickell told the judge. The couple's attorney, Allan Cramer, said there was "a push" involved, and it was minor. "On a scale of one to 10, it was a one," he said. It hasn't be specified who pushed who, but it was Brickell's mother who called police.

Chris Martin speaks! We told you about the teaser released ahead of his BBC interview with Zane Lowe, but now we've got the deets. The Coldplay frontman talked about his relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow and all that "conscious uncoupling"...sort of.

Martin never addressed Paltrow, but when asked by Lowe if the "breakdown of his relationship" inspired the new Coldplay album, he dove head first into talking about what caused the break up. "I wouldn't use the word breakdown," Martin said. "This was more a realization about trying to grow up basically. Like I said, if you can't open yourself up, you can't appreciate the wonder inside. So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way."

Adding, "About two years ago I was a mess really because I can't enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can't enjoy the great things around me because I'm burdened by this—I've got to not blame anyone else and make some changes."

He continued to talk about his relationship, but always in the context of the upcoming album "Ghost Stories." "Up to a certain point in my life I wasn't completely vulnerable and it caused some problems. If you don't let love really in then you can't really give it back. So what 'Ghost Stories' means to me is like you've got to open yourself up to love and if you really do, of course it will be painful at times, but then it will be great at some point," Martin said. "I think in life everyone needs to be broken in some way...I think everyone in their life goes through challenges, whether it's love or money, kids, or illness...You have to really not run away from that stuff. Life throws these colorful challenges at you...what we decided to do on 'Ghost Stories' was to really be honest about it and say, this is what's been happening." Maybe the album will give us some more clear cut answers.

We told you yesterday that Tori Spelling had been hospitalized last week. Now a source is telling Us Weekly that she actually filmed her hospital stay for “True Tori.”

While there’s been no official word on why the 40-year-old was hospitalized, the source said it was, in part, due to stress. As you know, “True Tori” is dealing with the cheating scandal that has threatened to shake her marriage to Dean McDermott.

If you want to partake in the drama that is Tori Spelling, “True Tori” airs tonight on Lifetime.

Ed Sheeran says he's glad he doesn't have a career that's dependent on his physical appearance.  In an interview with "Q" magazine, Sheeran admits, "I don't sell records based on my looks."

Of course, it helps a helluva of a lot that his music is bangin. As we told you before, Ed's sophomore album "Multiply" is due out this summer, and while he won't comment on the real-life celebrity flings that inspired some of his breakup songs included, he jokes that he's a British gentleman, but will admit he "spent a year in America and did what any young lad would, which is experience Hollywood life."  Right on.
As for the music, fans can look to Sheeran’s YouTube page every Saturday from now until his June 23rd album release to hear previews.

A "Justice League" movie is officially, finally, coming! "The Wall Street Journal" reported over the weekend not only is a script in the works, but a director has signed on.

Zack Snyder, who directed "Man of Steal" and is behind the upcoming "Batman-Superman," will be at the helm of the "Justice League."

As for the league itself, Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman are expected to appear in the movie, but no other heroes have been announced. "It will be a further expansion of this universe," Silverman told "WSJ." "'Superman vs. Batman' will lead into 'Justice League.'"

The live shows are in full swing on “The Voice.” The top 10 contestants sang their lungs out in an attempt to stay. Standouts this week includedDelvin Choice, Christina Grimmie, Kristen Merlin, and Sisaundra Lewis. After Lewis’ killer performance of “Oh Sherrie,” by Steve Perry,Adam Levine looked up and said, “There used to be a roof up there…but you blew it off.”

Speaking of Adam, the big whoop of the evening was Blake Shelton tweeting out his cell number.  Even though Adam thought Blake was just playing, the calls started rolling in.

Tonight, two contestants will be sent home on “The Voice.” Tune in tonight at 8pm ET/PT on NBC.

Last night on "Dancing With the Stars" the remaining seven pairs had to shake their bon bons because it was Latin Night. The guest judge wasRicky Martin and the pairs were divided into two appropriately titled groups, either Team Vida or Team Loca.

At the end of the show, the groups danced. Team Loca, got rave reviews for their performances while Team Vida only got a 10 from Ricky Martin. The big news from last night's episode is Amy Purdy injured her back during her rumba. There's been no new information on that.
