Dear Donnie,

I am 5 months pregnant with our first child, and it's a boy! I come from a family with 3 daughters, and this will be my parents first grandchild. I have been thinking about hyphenating our baby's last name, so that my family name can be carried on by my son. When I mentioned this to my husband he was very upset. He wants the baby to have his name, and his name only. He feels entitled to this. All of a sudden he's acting like a caveman. He even got his mother on me! She said I am emasculating him by not allowing his son to carry his name. What about my name? This baby represents half of me, and my family, and should carry my name as well. It's not like his name won't be represented, it will. But my name will be included too, and I think that's the way it should be. What do you think?
