LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP IS HOSTING EVENT TO HELP DRIVERS WITH REPLACEMENT OF TAKATA AIRBAGS
Airbag Action Day hopes to create awareness of the nationwide airbag recall and encourage those affected to take action.
Albuquerque, New Mexico – Rich Ford is reaching out to the community, specifically to drivers of 2005-2014 Ford Mustangs, 2004-2011 Ford Rangers and 2005 & 2006 Ford GTs. These vehicles are part of the nationwide Takata airbag recall, currently equipped with airbags which may explode in the event of a crash that causes deployment of the airbags. If an airbag explodes, this could cause serious injury or death.
The dealership has created a one-day event, with a goal to encourage customers to play it safe and replace their airbags as soon as possible.
“Of course, customers can still schedule airbag replacement on their own, but by hosting a special event, our hope is to create awareness and goodwill throughout this community,” says a dealership spokesperson, “Customer safety is important to us.”
During the event, the dealership will be staffed up to quickly repair vehicles, free of charge, while also providing games for the family during the wait. And in certain circumstances, loaner cars with be provided.
Airbag Action Day will be held atRich Ford, 8601 Lomas NE, between 8:00AM and 5:00PM on Tuesday, May 21st
