Amazon Launches New Budget-Friendly Grocery Line

Food is expensive these days and Amazon gets it, that’s why they’re introducing a “new no-frills brand” to help people save. After Walmart and Target added low-priced private labels, the tech giant is doing the same. They’ve just announced the launch of Amazon Saver, their own budget-friendly food line.

The brand will specialize in affordable groceries and will include a range of both shelf-stable and perishable staples. And the best part? Most things will cost less than $5 and Prime members will get an additional 10% off. Amazon Saver is starting with several products and the company says they’ll add more than 100 to the line over time.

Amazon is also expanding their Prime savings program at Amazon Fresh by dropping the price on more than 3-thousand grocery items, both in-store and online. They’ve also made changes to improve the Amazon Fresh online shopping experience, including creating shopping zones that group items by theme and allowing shoppers to make recurring reservations by choosing day and time windows for weekly grocery orders.
