For the unveiling of Bad Gal's fall/winter 2019 line at Brooklyn's Barclays Center earlier this month, the former Fifth Harmony bandmate danced on-stage to Sean Paul's classic "Get Busy" for just a minute-long performance, but, boy, did she make an impression. "NORMANNIIIIII you bad BIH!!!! Ugh why can’t I be you?! thank you sooo much sis! KILLED IT!!!" the singer-turned-fashion mogul tweeted on Sunday (September 22), to which Normani made her own confession. "This is actually my prayer every night !!! lol I literally just told Ed Shapiro 'I wanna be Rih when I grow up,'" she recalled. "I love you trillions queen. thank you for allowing me to be a part of history."
Among the other names that attended the show included G-Eazy, Halsey, Kacey Musgraves, Vanessa Hudgens and more. The event was live-streamed on Amazon Prime Video on September 20 and received rave reviews for its inclusivity for all kinds of sexy. "I'm looking for unique characteristics in people that aren't usually highlighted in the world of fashion as it pertains to lingerie and sexy — what society sees sexy," Rihanna said at the start of the show. "As a kid, I've always used fashion as a defense mechanism. But that, and music, and makeup, and lingerie, these are all just different ways I can express my creative."
