Clerk Urges Participation in National Voter Registration Day

Help Register Voters in Bernalillo County on Sept. 22

Bernalillo County – With National Voter Registration Day only 4 days away, Clerk Linda Stover is urging everyone to pay attention to this opportunity.

“Normally in a presidential election year many groups including the Clerk’s Office would participate in voter registrations drives, on campus, at community events and concerts,” says Clerk Linda Stover. “National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 22 is our best opportunity to try to make up some ground before the 2020 general election. Please share details of the opportunity with friends, family and community members. We want every eligible citizen to participate in our democracy and vote!

Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover is among the thousands of election officials across the country to celebrate National Voter Registration Day. The nonpartisan day of action involves coordinated field, technology, and media efforts to register voters and raise awareness of state-specific registration policies, deadlines, and voting information.

Voter Registration Agents and Bureau of Elections staff will register voters in-person and share information about working as election board members on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:
