Colin Blake and his wife's 35th wedding anniversary cruise along the south of France turned into a nightmare when his toe began to swell and turn purple.
In pain by the next day, doctors informed Blake that a Peruvian wolf spider not only bit him, but laid eggs inside his toe! When the doc cut open Blake's toe, eggs began pouring out.
Four weeks and several rounds of antibiotics later, Blake's toe was still bothering him. Another visit with a doctor revealed that a remaining egg in his toe had hatched into a spider that was trying to eat it's way out of Blake's tootsie.
The man declined the offer to keep the spider once medics removed it from his toe.
