No more open seating with Southwest. The airline is breaking its 50 year tradition and will begin assigning seats on flights. The company will also start selling premium seats to those that want extra legroom.
Why the change? To boost Southwest's revenue as it and American Airlines both report steep drops in second-quarter profits.
