A horde of rabbits is taking over a Spokane, Washington neighborhood and causing a divide. There are up to 75 of the thumpers running around the Hilyard area and they are leaving poop, ripped up plants and destroyed yards in their wake. The problem is, the regional animal control laws only deal with domesticated dogs and cats, not bunnies. It turns out, someone dumped the first rabbits after Easter. Now the population is exploding. While authorities pass the buck, neighbors are fighting, as some want the critters gone and others are feeding them. The bunny dilemma will be around for a while, it seems.
