Kesha brought back one of her most iconic looks on a recent red carpet, showing up in style with a dress made of garbage bags.
The "Joyride" singer attended the GLAMOUR Germany Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday (November 12) where she rocked an updated version of the trash bag-inspired dress she wore 14 years ago, per People. Kesha stunned on the carpet for the event, wearing a black two-piece ensemble with a strapless top and matching skirt with a long train and high slits.
She initially paired the grungy look with pointy black heels, one of which featured a phone mounted on a tripod, she switched shoes halfway through walking the carpet, donning instead a edgy pair of strappy black heels with silver spikes. The 37-year-old "TiK ToK" musician completed her look with glamorous makeup and her blonde hair worn styled down.
The trash-chic dress harkened back to a similar outfit she wore earlier in her career, as People noted that the look was an updated version of the trash bag mini dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, which she paired with black platform heels, furry collar and a long ponytail-braid that reached past her waist.
Kesha was one of several people honored at the event, where she was named the 2024 Music Icon.
"I am iconic. This is iconic," she said. "And I've looked at how I became so iconic and it's been through making art out of trash. So I am the iconic trash."
