According to DownDetector, errors spiked early Sunday, and some videos remained stuck “under review” for hours. The problems followed TikTok’s U.S. takeover by an Oracle-backed investment group. The timing led some users to suspect a link between the outage and the platform’s new owners. While TikTok has not commented on the outages, some suspect it could simply be due to technical fallout from regular technical work done behind-the-scenes.
