MICHAEL BUBLÉ: Son’s First Birthday After Cancer Scare

Michael Bublé went all-out in throwing a fourth birthday party for his son, Noah.

Nine months ago, doctors diagnosed Noah with a rare form of liver cancer. So this year’s celebrations were extra special. Noah got a three-tiered cake for his Spider-Man-themed party. The entire family painted their faces with red-and-blue spider webs.

Last fall, Michael Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato canceled their schedule to care for him. Noah received chemotherapy in Los Angeles after surgeons removed the tumor. Luisana admitted, (quote) “There are nights that I don't sleep. I pray to God because it's still a long process. The worst is over -- Thank God." (Entertainment Tonight)

RICHARD SIMMONS: Re-Emerging in Public on Wednesday?

Richard Simmons June2015 National Enquirer

For the first time in about four years, Richard Simmons may come out of seclusion.

A Los Angeles judge scheduled a Wednesday morning hearing in the fitness guru’s lawsuit against The National Enquirer. Two summers ago, the tabloid’s front cover story claimed Simmons was transitioning to a woman named “Fiona.” They wrote how Simmons had undergone gender assignment surgery, including “breast implants, hormone treatments and consultations on medical castration.”

To this day, Richard Simmons is still a man. In May, he sued The National Enquirer for invasion of privacy and defamation.

The tabloid filed a motion claiming defamation should be off the table. In their words, in these modern times, “being referred to as ‘transgender’ cannot rationally be held by a court to impute negative characteristics.” Simmons may appear in court as the judge determines the merits of the tabloid’s motion. SELENA GOMEZ: Instagram Hacked, Nude Bieber Pics Posted

Selena Gomez's Instagram account was hacked today (Monday) when nude photos of Justin Bieber were posted.

The hackers captioned one of the X-rated pics “lil shrimpy.” According to the New York Daily News that photo "amassed over 30,000 likes in mere minutes but Gomez’s account was shut down soon after the image surfaced."

She regained control of the account just minutes later and deleted the photos, which were taken in 2015 when the Bieb was vacationing in Bora Bora.

Selena and Justin dated on and off from 2011 until 2014.

Buy Swift Merch & Advance to Front of Ticket Line

Taylor Swift 24Aug Look What

Taylor Swift devised a plan to thwart concert ticket scalpers.

Her online shop offers a rewards program. The more merch you buy, the closer to the front of the line you advance. It’s designed to benefit true Taylor fans while lining her pockets with even more cash.

Pre-order her Reputation CD, earn rewards points. Purchase a 75 dollar sweatshirt with REP embroidered across the front and earn more rewards points.

Taylor’s now selling 50 dollar shirts with the cheesy “I Heart T.S.” logo just like Tom Hiddleston wore. Spend money on one and you’ll take another step closer to the front of the line to buy tickets to her next concert.

You can see how this could go haywire. Any teen charging a small fortune at Taylor’s store with their parent’s credit card. (Billboard)

COLDPLAY: Write Song for Harvey Victims

Hurricane Harvey forced Coldplay to call off their show in Houston over the weekend, but they didn't simply move on.

Last night in Miami, Chris Martin and company performed a brand-new song they'd written for victims of the storm. Martin told the crowd that they've long been fans of country music before breaking into the twangy "Houston." He added that they don't plan to play it again until they return to the city to make up the postponed date.

Coldplay have yet to reschedule the Houston show and likely won't until the storm moves on. (Houston Chronicle)

“Despacito” Ties Mariah Carey Record of 16-Weeks at #1

Justin Bieber is in the Billboard record books. The remix of “Despacito” held the top of charts for 16 consecutive weeks. Four solid months! The music video without Bieber has been viewed nearly 3.5 billion times.

Now, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Bieber join Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men as the only artists to spend 16 weeks with the same #1 song. Mariah did it 20 years ago with “One Sweet Day.”

The writing is on the wall, though, that “Despacito” will not attain 17 weeks topping the charts. Billboard already predicts that Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” will halt Bieber’s impressive streak. It could sell half a million downloads in its first week. In a matter of two days, the music video has been watched 50 million times. Her lyric video sits at 46 million YouTube views.

In addition, Ed Sheeran celebrates 33 consecutive weeks with “Shape of You” in the Top 10. No other act had ever achieved it with one song.

Clowns Blame Stephen King for Losing Work

In two weeks, the Stephen King movie adaptation of a serial-killer clown living in the sewer system will arrive in theaters. Early predictions call for IT having the biggest opening of any fright film, approximately 60 million dollars.

However, anticipation of the upcoming movie has killed demand for real-life clowns. And they’re complaining that Stephen King has stigmatized clowns for a generation. King tweeted a response(quote) “Clowns are pissed. Sorry, BUT kids have always been scared of clowns. Don't kill the messengers for the message.”

Meanwhile, World Clown Association president Pam Moody said (quote) “People had school shows and library shows that were canceled. The very public we're trying to deliver positive and important messages to aren't getting them.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

THE WEEKND: Not In the Mood to Perform at VMAs

Something happened last weekend to The Weeknd.

At the last minute, he scrubbed a Friday night gig in Los Angeles. Then he bailed on the Video Music Awards after MTV had for days promoted his performance. TMZ reports The Weeknd simply wasn’t in the mood to go to the awards ceremony.

Perhaps he got advance warning he’d walk away empty-handed despite five nominations. Or, he realized Kendrick Lamar would hog the spotlight.

Or maybe The Weeknd just needed a mental health break. A source told TMZ that The Weeknd booked the Video Music Awardsa long time ago. Then, the grind of a world tour wore him out.

At this stage in his career, apparently, The Weeknd feels like he can burn bridges with MTV. As they say, “May the bridges I burn light the way.”

DR. DRE: Bizarre Marriage Rumors

A 73-year-old South Korean man has been fined for spreading rumors online that the widow of a late president was going to marry rap legend Dr. Dre.

The unnamed man had said the marriage was intended to launder "slush funds" he alleged belonged to the former leader Kim Dae-jung. Mr. Kim's widow, Lee Hee-ho, is 95 but remains influential in South Korea.

The Seoul district court ruled on Friday that Lee "violated the honor of the deceased and the bereaved." Calling the rumor groundless, Judge Lee Eun-hee fined the unknown man 5 million Korean won for defamation. (BBC)
