A recent survey found that a whopping 85% of parents say that making and packing their kids' lunches stresses them out – and that dealing with lunch was the most stressful part of their kids going back to school.
Some of this stress may be the result of the rise in food allergies. The number of kids with peanut allergies has tripled since 1997 and soy, gluten and dairy allergies are also on the rise. Parents whose kids have allergies get stressed about what their kids have for lunch, and parents whose kids don’t have allergies worry that they might pack something that could make kids with allergies sick.
