JAMES CORDEN: Baby Arrives 30 Minutes Before Show Time

Congratulations to late night host James Corden, who took paternity leave only 30 minutes before show time.

Corden tweeted to his 10 million followers (quote) “Today we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling. Thank you Harry for stepping in to host the show at 2 and a half hours notice!”

Harry Styles of One Direction stepped in as the emergency guest host. He announced to the studio audience (quote) “This is very exciting. Just half an hour ago, James and his wife Jules had a beautiful baby girl. I was just at the hospital. She looks a lot like James, mainly because James looks like a giant baby.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Last weekend, DJ Khaled celebrated a belated 42nd birthday in Miami with Diddy, 2 Chains, Flo Rida and Lil Wayne. Another party-goer that night told the New York Post (quote) “A stranger sent Khaled a15-liter bottle of Ace of Spades Rosé Champagne, which costs 200-grand.”

TMZ uncovered the estranged father of bullied boy Keaton Jones. Based on social media posts, his dad is a white supremacist. His “Pure Breed” and “White Pride” body tattoos are proof. AND Shawn White (his real name) is definitely behind bars for the past 30 months.

Talking with BuzzFeed News, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streepdiscussed whether we should separate the art from the misbehaving artists, such as Matt Lauer, Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. They agreed that humans are fallible and therefore censoring their shows would be the wrong thing. Hanks added (quote) “If you threw out every film or TV show that was made by an A–hole, Netflix would go out of business.”

Former major league slugger Jose Canseco has a different take on sexual misconduct. The admitted steroid-abuser and meathead tweeted (quote) “I’ve been molested by several women and never complained -- it was kind of a turn-on. I was a good-looking guy and these politicians look like a bag of boogers. These women complaining against sexual misconduct are just racist against ugly men.” (end quote)

Weekend Up co-hosts at Saturday Night Live, Michael Che and Colin Jost, have been promoted to co-head writers. The sketch comedy show now has four head writers. (Variety)

The last tickets for Jennifer Lopez's residency in Las Vegas go on sale this Friday. J-Lo issued a statement (quote) “Some of the best memories on stage from my career will forever be equated with Vegas.” Her final performances are scheduled from mid-June to the end of September 2018. These shows will fall between taping her NBC cop drama and planning her wedding to Alex Rodriguez. (KSNV-TV)

Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin “Definitely Dating”

Dakota Johnson is “definitely dating” Chris Martin.

The lead singer of Coldplay has traveled around the world with the actress. They’ve hit it off since their first date in October at a sushi restaurant.

Chris trusts her taste in music. He reportedly lets her listen to demos of songs he’s written. Chris wants to know her opinion. A source said, (quote) “She clearly loves his music.”

Dakota followed the band to Argentina and Israel. An eyewitness said the couple had a romantic dinner in a seaside town near Tel Aviv. (quote) “They came in and they were really, really nice, like extremely nice. It was a surprise.” (Us Weekly)

George Clooney Treats Passengers on Flight With Twins to Headphones

George Clooney played Santa Claus to passengers on a commercial flight to England.

He and Amal Clooney gave away noise-canceling headphones because they were traveling with their six-month-old twins. Obviously, there’d be a lot crying and wailing on Clooney's trans-Atlantic flight. (And the twins would be noisy, too.)

The headphones came with a personalized message from George, (quote) “Apologizing ahead of time.” (New York Post)

George was even more generous to 14 friends. Rande Gerberrevealed how Clooney gave each of them a million dollars. He packed 14 suitcases filled with 20 dollars bills.

Gerber recalled Clooney’s dinner speech in 2013, (quote) “I came to Los Angeles, I slept on your couch. I’m so fortunate in my life to have all of you. I couldn’t be where I am today without all of you. So, it was really important to me that I give back.” (People)

Taylor Swift Fans Angry Over Ticket Prices

Next year, the Taylor Swift stadium tour aims to be the biggest revenue maker.

However, her diehard fans (Swifties) are complaining on social media about ticket prices. Nosebleed seats start at 50 bucks. Floor seats cost 200 and down in the pit runs 800 dollars.

These “verified fans” joined a rewards program devised by Taylor to thwart concert ticket scalpers. The more merch her fans bought, they advanced closer to the front of the ticket line. The concept benefited true Taylor fans while lining her pockets with even more cash.

Now these verified fans spent so much money on her Reputationmerchandise – Booklets, sweatshirts and embroidered Tees -- that they don’t have enough left for concert seats. (Ticket News

Star Wars returns with The Last Jedi. Weekend box office could exceed 200 million dollars, making it the largest debut of the year.

Global revenue is predicted to approach half a billion dollars in its first weekend. If true, that would rank among the fifth largest worldwide opening. It might’ve been even bigger but The Last Jedi doesn’t arrive to China until next year.

Critics say this Star Wars installment will leave fans of the franchise satisfied. The 150-minute film is dedicated to the late Carrie Fisher, who died suddenly one year ago.

In counter-programming, the animated movie Ferdinand is aimed young children and their parents not seeing The Last Jedi. (The Hollywood Reporter)

SELENA GOMEZ: A Blue Christmas Without Justin?

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may not get much time under the mistletoe this Christmas -- because it looks like they'll spend the holiday far apart.

According to People magazine, the on-again twosome will be in separate cities on December 25th, largely due to family pressure. A pal tells the mag, “Justin’s family always loved Selena, but Selena’s family is still not happy about her seeing Justin. Selena doesn’t bring Justin to any family events. Selena is spending Christmas with her family. As of now, Justin is not invited.”

They skipped a shared Thanksgiving, but they've been hanging out on a regular basis since.

TODAY: No. 1 Again After Lauer Exit

Matt Lauer’s departure may have been the best thing to happen to the Todayshow.

For the second straight week since the co-host's termination for sexual misconduct, the morning show has been number-one in the ratings, beating out reigning champ Good Morning America.

Today drew an average of nearly 4.58 million viewers overall, while GMA brought in nearly 4.38 million overall.

For now, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are co-anchoring Today.

CBS This Morning, which fired Charlie Rose over sexual misconduct charges, hasn't seen a bump in viewership. They're in third place with 3.57 million viewers, according to Nielsen. (Page Six)
