You only use your bath towel when you get out of the shower, squeaky clean. You shouldn't have to wash it that often, right? Unfortunately, wrong.
According to experts, every time you dry off with a towel you remove a bunch of dead skin that transfers right to that fluffy material. Combine that with the moist breeding ground that is perfect for germs and bacteria to multiply and you need to wash your bath towels, including hand towels, every two days. And kitchen towels, even if you are only using them to dry dishes, need to get washed daily. If you don't, you could end up cross-contaminating the kitchen and giving yourself food poisoning. Ugh ... that laundry pile just got a lot bigger. (Daily Mail)
