SUPER BOWL HALFTIME: Timberlake Keeps It Moving
Starting inside the bowels of the stadium, using multiple stages, the field itself and ending up in the stands, Justin Timberlake did just about everything except getting airborne to entertain during the Super Bowl 52 halftime show Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Where he didn't go was to special guests or to an anticipated Prince hologram, which he nixed after being advised by longtime Prince associate Sheila E of how anti-hologram The Purple One had been. That doesn't mean JT didn't sing with Prince -- he briefly duetted with a projection of "The Kid" singing "I Would Die 4 U" from the film Purple Rain.
Timberlake began with his new single "Filthy" on an indoor stage with lots of lasers lighting his way. Then it was up a flight of stairs and onto a runway above the field for "Rock Your Body" and a snippet of "Señorita." He finally hit the main stage and joined his band for "Sexy Back," with a bit of the "Supplies" beat. Then was joined by backing vocalists and dancers on "My Love" and hit full stride with "Cry Me a River," which saw him abandon the stage for the field itself, singing atop a large NFL logo.
A marching band in tuxedos joined him on the field for "Suit and Tie," but he was soon off it and onto a large circular stage for, first, "Until the End of Time" and, next, his partnership with the late Prince of Minneapolis. Then it was back to the main stage for "Mirrors," featuring dozens of fans holding large reflecting mirrors in front of him. That led to the finale, "Can't Stop the Feeling," with Timberlake leading a procession into the stands, where a young fan took a selfie with him, before Justin signed off saying, "Thank you, Minneapolis -- Super Bowl selfie!"
KATE UPTON: Guess Founder Denies Accusation
Kate Upton is still waiting for the right time share details about Paul Marciano, whom she accused of sexual harassment, but the Guess co-founder is actively denying allegations and calling the model a liar.
Upton tweeted last week, "It’s disappointing that such an iconic women’s brand @GUESS is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director. He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women." A day later she said that she is excited to tell her whole story. Meanwhile, Marciano is talking and tells TMZ, "Ms. Upton provided no details ... She leveled this malicious and false accusation only hours before a gala event at our headquarters in Los Angeles unveiling a new Guess campaign."
He added, "I am told that she has been working with others for some time to defame me and will claim that I groped her among other things. This accusation is false. I have never touched Kate Upton. I have never been alone with Kate Upton. I have never acted inappropriately towards her." Some sources say Marciano believes Upton made the claims because she's upset that Guess cut ties with her.
LANA DEL REY: Attempted Kidnapping Thwarted by Police
Singer Lana Del Rey escaped a threatening situation over the weekend. She tweeted yesterday that she’s “doing fine.”
The Orlando, Florida police arrested 43-year-old Michael Hunt. They charged him with aggravated stalking and attempted kidnapping with a weapon. Hunt carried a switchblade knife and tickets to Friday night’s Lana Del Rey concert at the Amway Center.
The lovelorn Lana fan posted creepy messages on his Facebook page, including this doozy on Tuesday. (quote) “I want to see my queen on Friday and from that day forward our decisions will be as one.” The morning of the concert, Hunt wrote, (quote) “It’s probably my last day on Facebook. I’ll see you on the other side.” He claimed that Vladimir Putin, Queen Elizabeth and Lana all knew he was in Orlando for the show.
Thankfully, a good Samaritan warned authorities. Orlando police tweeted, (quote) “After receiving a tip we deemed a credible threat, OPD got to him before he could get near singer Lana Del Rey.” (News 6 WKMG, Orlando)
KEVIN HART: Bounced From Super Bowl Stage
Kevin Hart tried and failed to join the Philadelphia Eagles players for the Super Bowl trophy presentation.
A beefy security guard blocked Hart, who stands a little more than five-feet-tall when wearing lifts.
This was the Eagles first Super Bowl victory. Hart grew up in Philadelphia, so naturally he wanted to join the players on the stage. And he had the courage, because he’d been drinking throughout the game. (New York Daily News)
UMA THURMAN: Breaks Silence on Harvey Weinstein
Uma Thurman has finally broken her silence about Harvey Weinstein.
In November, the star declined to talk about the allegations against the disgraced producer, explaining that she was "waiting to feel less angry." Now, in an interview with The New York Times, the actress shares the details about her run-ins with Weinstein and also accuses director Quentin Tarantino of "physically endangering" her on the set of Kill Bill.
Thurman says Weinstein first made a pass at her after luring her into a steam room at a Paris hotel room. Then, she says, he attacked her in a London hotel. “It was such a bat to the head," she says. "He pushed me down. He tried to shove himself on me. He tried to expose himself. He did all kinds of unpleasant things. But he didn’t actually put his back into it and force me. You’re like an animal wriggling away, like a lizard. I was doing anything I could to get the train back on the track. My track. Not his track.”
Thurman says she "privately regarded Weinstein as an enemy after that" and that the animosity between her and filmmaker destroyed her relationship with Tarantino. She recounts how the director forced her to drive a car she felt was unsafe for a scene in Kill Bill. She ended up crashing the vehicle into a tree and suffering "permanent" injuries to her neck and knees. She claims Tarantino "wouldn't let me see the footage [of the crash] and he told me that was what they had all decided." She also alleges that Tarantino put himself into several scenes in Kill Bill that allowed him to spit on her and choke her.

Kylie also posted a video detailing her pregnancy.
PINK: Defends Anthem Performance
Pink is clapping back at her critics who slammed her performance of the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
The singer, who powered through the song despite having the flu, responded to one Twitter troll who told her she "sucked" by saying, "Yeah but at least I suck while singing our countries national anthem, and you just suck by yourself on a dirty couch. #winning." Others slammed her for appearing to spit out her gum just before the performance, to which she replied, "It was a throat lozenge." (Billboard)
LADY GAGA: Off the Road Again
Lady Gaga has been knocked off the road by illness for the second time in a year.
Gaga pulled the plug on the last 10 dates of her Joanne world tour due to "severe pain" brought on by the fibromyalgia that's plagued her for years. The star issued a statement saying, "I'm so devastated. I don't know how to describe it. All I know is that if I don't do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music. My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home. We're canceling the last 10 shows of my Joanne World Tour. I love this show more than anything, and I love you, but this is beyond my control."
The Mother Monster left the road back in September due to complications from the same condition, which is chronic and not fully curable. (Rolling Stone)
