What do you think the most popular cereal in America is? You probably didn't even have this on your radar, but according to a new report from Food & Wine magazine, the answer is Oreo O’s cereal. The magazine analyzed Google searches from the last 12 months, and found that the recently re-introduced Oreo O’s cereal, which had a 10-year hiatus from shelves until last June, was the most searched cereal.
Believe it or not, Rice Krispies and Frosted Flakes failed to even make the list. Life came in the second for the most searched cereal in the country.
Actual sales might say otherwise, however. According to research by marketing firm IRI, Honey Nut Cheerios sold the most boxes in the last year followed by Honey Bunches of Oats and Frosted Flakes. (Today)
