  • A new report reveals that globally, the average person spent about three hours each day in front of the television last year
  • Folks in the U.S. and Canada are the biggest TV watchers, catching about four hours and three minutes of TV each day
  • Asian countries watch the least TV of anybody, just  two hours and 25 minutes

Although these days folks don’t need to be glued to the TV to get their entertainment, it seems a lot of people are still spending plenty of time each day watching the boob tube.

A new report reveals that globally, the average person spent about three hours each day in front of the television last year. Not surprisingly, folks in the U.S. and Canada are the biggest TV watchers, catching about four hours and three minutes of TV each day, on average, with Europeans not far behind, at three hours and 49 minutes.

On the other end of the spectrum, Asian countries watch the least TV of anybody, just two hours and 25 minutes, while those in China specifically only watch two hours and 12 minutes.

Of course, these days not everyone is actually watching TV on a television. The report finds that most Millennials and young adults actually catch up on programs using their mobile phones.
