Rachel Platten Flubs National Anthem THREE Times
Rachel Platten flubbed the “Star Spangled Banner.” Three times she forgot the words.
Rachel admitted to People magazine (quote) “I’ve tried to retrace steps of what happened. My mind just went blank. I’m having a hard time forgiving myself. It was incredibly, incredibly embarrassing.”
She appeared before a soccer game in Salt Lake City on Saturday. Rachel couldn’t remember what followed the opening line: “Oh say can you see.”
She apologized to the crowd and started a second time. Once again, she froze after singing “Oh say can you see, by the … oh my gosh. I’m so sorry.“ Rachel pleaded to nobody in particular “Somebody tell me the next line.”
After stalling for a few seconds, she jumped back on the mic to sing the incorrect lyrics“…by the stars early light” and completed the national anthem without another hiccup.

Secret Mariah Carey Breakdown
A psychiatrist hospitalized Mariah Carey in 2016 due to a secret, manic meltdown. She dressed in a ball gown and tiara under the mistaken belief that the ghosts of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Prince would be her dinner guests.
Ex-husband Nick Cannon discovered Mariah in this “terrible manic state.” She wore a “Ring-Pop” that she swore Queen Elizabeth herself gave to Mariah. On the way to the hospital, she attempted to jump from the moving SUV.
Nick wanted to commit Mariah to an involuntary 72-hour psychiatric lock-up. Her primary doctor wished to keep this episode out of the tabloids. So he suggested a private suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He visited her daily and treated Mariah with medication and IVs for several weeks. (The Blast)
