NM Girl's Lemonade Stand Raising Money For Mom

Lots of kids have lemonade stands, but they’re usually trying to earn money to buy a new toy or video game. That’s not the case for Nemiah Martinez, this 11-year-old from Las Cruces has a much bigger goal for her lemonade stand money: to pay for her mom’s life-saving kidney and pancreas transplants.

Every Saturday, Nemiah opens her stand with three different flavors of lemonade for sale. She was doing well, but a recent news story has helped shine the spotlight on her cause and now customers are pouring in. A GoFundMe page started by the little girl has also raised more than $4,000 so far and donations are still coming.
