ROSEANNE BARR: John Goodman Staying Mum
While some of Roseanne Barr's TV co-stars have spoken out against her and the tweets which led to ABC cancelling her show, John Goodman says he's keeping his mouth shut.
Roseanne's TV husband was approached by Entertainment Tonight and asked about his co-star's tweets and the cancellation of the show. He cautiously responded that he would "rather say nothing than to cause more trouble." He added that he's aware of the tweets but hasn't been paying much attention to the controversy. The 65-year-old insists that he's doing fine and quipped, "I wasn't gonna get an Emmy anyway."
DRAKE: A Dad, But Not Deadbeat
Pusha T was right: Drake is a daddy.
But Pusha got it wrong about Drake being a deadbeat dad. TMZ reports Drake has financially supported adult actress Sophie Brussaux since she became pregnant.
Drake has her on Venmo for regular support payments.
However, Drake has a few reservations about claiming the boy as his. A DNA test is planned to prove paternity. Drake’s intuition tells him the boy is his. Just wants make certain ahead of signing contracts and – to paraphrase Kanye West -- before Sophie has him for 18 years.
KIM KARDASHIAN: Oval Office Summit
Kim Kardashian and President Donald Trump met Wednesday in the Oval Office to discuss her latest pet project: prison reform.
The New York Post dubbed it “Trump Meets Rump.” While others called it “The Other Kim Summit” referring to next month’s scheduled meeting with North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un.
The president tweeted a photo of Kardashian posing next to him in the Oval Office. (quote) "Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”
The New York Times noted. (quote) “After advertising her new line of nude lip liners and sharing thoughts from her sister on motherhood, Ms. Kardashian West spoke to her 60 million Twitter followers: ‘Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you.’”
Alice Marie Johnson turned 63. She’s spent 21 years behind bars for a single, non-violent drug offense. Her lawyer is cautiously optimistic that Trump will grant clemency to Johnson. Just last week, Trump pardoned the late boxer Jack Johnson after the urging of Oscar-winner Sylvester Stallone. (The New York Times)
DAVID COPPERFIELD: Not Financially Liable for Magic Trick Injury
David Copperfield was found negligent but not financially responsible for a British tourist's injuries during one of his illusions.
Gavin Cox sued the magician after allegedly slipping and falling while acting as a "volunteer from the audience" during a vanishing act in Las Vegas in 2013. Cox says he suffered a brain injury, but the jury found he was "100 percent responsible" for his injuries.
Despite the victory, Copperfield was forced to give away how the illusion was done. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "Cox was among 12 other volunteers who seemed to disappear from Copperfield's elevated stage, when in reality they were whisked off the platform by flashlight-wielding stagehands."

The stars of the cancelled Roseanne show will still get a paycheck for the second season.
Just last month, the principal actors -- Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman -- renegotiated their contracts for $350,000 per episode. Next season was scheduled to be 13 shows. That mean ABC is on the hook about $4 million per actor. (The Hollywood Reporter)
