Exposure to Household Cleaners Can Cause Childhood Obesity

Think diet and exercise are the only two factors that can cause a child to be overweight? Think again: A new Canadian study finds that infants who are exposed to disinfectants, detergents and other household cleaners are at enhanced risk of developing childhood obesity. As UPI explains, this is because these cleaning products can lead to higher levels of a gut microbe that increases body-mass index.
