McDonald’s has announced that the seven classic burgers sold at their U.S. restaurants are now a little healthier. The Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, McDouble, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Big Mac are now being made without artificial preservatives, flavors, and colors, the company reports.
The only snag in the upgrade? The pickle. It’s still made with an artificial preservative, so if you want to go all-in on the healthy side, you can skip it if you like, McDonald’s USA President Chris Kempczinski says. And the changes aren’t supposed to increase menu prices, so customers can relax and enjoy a burger that’s a little better for them.
