LaCroix Denies It Contains “Cockroach Insecticide” Ingredient

LaCroix Sparkling Water has denied claims made in a recent lawsuit that the beverage includes an ingredient used in cockroach insecticide. Extra Crispy reports that National Beverage, the makers of LaCroix, sent out a statement over the weekend, describing the lawsuit as “false, defamatory and intended to intentionally damage National Beverage and its shareholders.” Last week, the law firm Beaumont Costales filed a class action lawsuit in Illinois’s Cook County alleging the brand makes “false claims to be ‘all natural’ and ‘100 percent natural.’” The firm says they discovered the insecticide through testing and wants LaCroix to alter its labeling and promotion. It is also seeking an undisclosed amount of damages.
