  • On Thursday, The New York Times reported that the Food and Drug Administration plans to ban sales of most flavored e-cigarettes in retail stores and gas stations. The F.D.A. also plans to require age verification for online sales as it tries to curb the electronic cancer sticks' "epidemic" popularity among young people. “In order to close the on-ramp to e-cigarettes for kids, we have to put in place some speed bumps for adults,” F.D.A. commissioner Scott Gottlieb said in a recent interview.
