Study Shows Eye Contact Is Not Needed for Enjoyable Conversation

Is eye contact during a conversation a must for you, well you’ll be happy to know that eye contact isn’t needed in order to enjoy a conversation.

Most people believe that avoiding eye contact during a conversation means that the person is being dishonest or lacks confidence, however, a new study says that’s not the case. Using eye-tracking technology Researchers at Edith Cowan University had four-minute conversations with 46 people. The researchers found that both the eye group and the mouth group enjoyed the conversation equally.
