If you’re an early bird who likes to get your grocery run behind you first thing on weekend mornings, this Saturday, you’re going to want to start at Whole Foods. The retailer is having its fifth annualBeauty Weekand as a special part of it, they’re having the first-ever Whole Foods Market Better Beauty Swap event, where you can recycle any old, used beauty product for a bunch of new, non-toxic ones for free.
The freebies are only available to the first 200 shoppers at select stores - the Tribeca location in New York City, Lakeview in Chicago, Center City in Philadelphia, Potrero Hill in San Francisco, or Playa Vista in Los Angeles. But the swag bags are full of over $100 worth of some of the store’s best-selling beauty products and they’re just giving them away if you bring in an old empty bottle of face wash or expired mascara tube.
If you’re one of those lucky 200 customers, you can choose from one of two limited-edition Whole Foods Market Beauty Bags. The All Day Beautiful Bag comes with 14 freebies, including a Burt’s Bees liquid lipstick, Weleda face cream and a mini bottle of Thayer’s witch hazel toner. And the Self Care Sunday Bag also includes 14 products, like Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Papaya Enzyme Mask and Derma E vitamin C serum. Plus, Whole Foods is recycling all those empties people turn in with TerraCycle, so you’re helping the planet, too.
