Students Can Pay Parking Fine With PB&J

The University of Alaska's Anchorage campus has come up with a tasty way to collect parking fines, while helping students struggling to afford food.

For two weeks, anyone with unpaid parking tickets will be able to wipe out the fine if they donate jars of peanut butter and jelly to the university's emergency food cache.

Parking violators can pay off up to $60 in fines through the PB&J program and the offer is only good on tickets issued in the last 45 days or are still within the 60-date late period. (KTUU-TV)
