The U.S. Postal Service is looking for more children in need.
The service launched Operation Santa last week, which takes letters written by kids to Santa Claus and then has them adopted by charitable volunteers to fulfill the requests. So many people have responded to the call in only one week’s time that “OS” has run out of letters!
Letters can be sent to 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888 and should be postmarked by December 14th.
Operation Santa began in 1912 when employees were allowed to open letters and respond. The public was invited to participate in the 1940s with charitable donations.
