Brides come in all shapes and sizes, and now modelAshley Grahamis helping brides with a little meat on their bones look just as stunning as those skinnier brides.
In case you missed it, Ashley has teamed with bridal brand Pronovias to design a line of plus-sized wedding dresses. Graham’s collection consists of 16 dresses, in prices ranging from $1,000 to $3,500, with each dress featuring built-in shapewear to help curvy brides.
“[Your wedding day is] beyond a size or a type of woman — it’s really just about her,” Graham told WWD. “That’s why I’m so excited there are now sizes from 0 to 34.”
And Graham knows how difficult it can be for a curvy bride to find the perfect dress. She says that when she got married she was forced to buy a size ten dress because the boutique she went to in Nebraska didn’t have larger sizes. She was then forced to add panels in the back to make it fit.
“I really didn’t get the option of what I truly wanted because I didn’t have the time or the luxury because of my size,” she says. “And to be completely honest — because of my budget.”
