The deepening coronavirus in China is leading to some extreme measures being taken to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
British Airways announced it is grounding all direct flights to and from China because of the outbreak which is already blamed for 132 deaths and has sickened at least 6,000 people. Almost all of the deaths have occurred in the city of Wuhan.
British Airways did not indicate when it will resume its flights between London and Shanghai and Beijing, and said, “the safety of our customers and crew is always our priority.” United Airlines says it cancelled its flights between the U.S. and China between February 1st and 8th due to low demand. Other airlines like Korea's Air Seoul and Indonesia’s Lion Air have done the same. (CNBC)
