Cell phone data shows that Americans are doing pretty good on social distancing. The company Unacast analyzed cell phone data to see how far people are traveling – a 40% or greaterdecreasein distance traveled earns an A grade, while a less than 10% decrease or an increase in movement is an F.
So how are we doing? The nation gets a grade of B.
- The top five areas getting A grades are: Washington, DC, Alaska, Nevada, New Jersey and Rhode Island.
- In the bottom five, Oregon and New Mexico both got C grades, Idaho and Montana earned Ds. The only state getting an F grade is Wyoming.
