Facebook Will Alert Users Who Post Coronavirus Misinformation

If you post coronavirus info on social media, make sure you check for accuracy.

Because of all the misinformation about the virus being shared, Facebook is stepping up to tell you if the info you shared is fake. To go a step farther, users who interact with the post will be taken to scientific page with debunked myths at the WHO website.

The only drawback is you won’t be told WHICH post is wrong.

Meanwhile, in this time of self-isolation, Facebook is letting users give each othera virtual hug. A seventh Facebook reaction is rolling out today on Messenger and next week on Facebook itself. The reaction is an emoji hugging a heart, designed to show support when a regular heart react doesn't seem enough.
