A woman in the Netherlands filed a lawsuit earlier this month against her mother for sharing photos of her children on social media without her consent.
The mother-of-three requested that her estranged mother remove photos of her children from Facebook and Pinterest, but when that didn't happen she sued her. The Dutch law prohibits the sharing of photos of children under the age of 16 without parental consent -- her oldest is only 14.
A judge ordered the grandmother to remove the photos within 10 days of the ruling or be forced to pay $54 in fines for every day they remain on social media. (NY Times)
