As we all start venturing out more, parks are a great place to get outside and get some exercise – while still maintaining safety and distance. But according to the CDC, the one place in the park that parents should avoid with their kids is the playground – even if they are open.
The CDC stresses that playgrounds are hotspots because they are not usually sanitized and they create an environment that is very difficult to socially distance in. Kids don’t understand distance, and keeping them corralled is like herding cats. Plus they will touch all sorts of surfaces – and will likely then put their hands in their mouth or near their nose. Take the kids out to run around and play. Just avoid the playground! (Best Life)
