Dr. Fauci to Throw Out 1st Pitch of MLB's Season at Nationals-Yankees Game

Dr. Anthony Fauci will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at MLB's season-opening game between the Washington Nationals and New York Yankees on Thursday,USA Todayreports. "Dr. Fauci has been a true champion for our country during the COVID-19 pandemic and throughout his distinguished career," a team statement read, "so it is only fitting that we honor him as we kick off the 2020 season and defend our World Series Championship title." Fauci is from Brooklyn and grew up a Yankees fan, but says he now roots for both teams since removed to the D.C. area years ago. He also wore a Nationals mask when he testified to Congress earlier this year.
