One of the biggest obstacles to working from home can be staying focused. But there are some tricks experts say you can use when you just can’t seem to concentrate.

Try these out next time you find yourself procrastinating when you really should be working:

Exercise as hard as you can for five minutes: Just get out of your chair and do five minutes of burpees or jumping jacks before getting focused again. Getting your blood pumping, even for a short amount of time, actually changes your brain chemistry. It allows your brain to refocus and get back to the task at hand.

Avoid multitasking: Unfortunately, you can’t really fold clothes and check emails at the same time. It makes any task take longer and you work less efficiently at everything you are trying to do. Instead, tackle one project at a time and you’ll actually get done faster.
