These Types Of Emails Cause Most People Lasting Stress

A new studyout of the University of Illinois - Chicago found that rude work emails can cause lasting stress to workers –affecting their sleep, health and relationships.

The study identified two main types of rude work emails:active email rudeness, where people make demeaning or disrespectful comments, and passive email rudeness -- where emails just aren’t answered or are brief and evasive. No surprise – the active rude emails caused negative emotions in the recipients, while the passive rude emails left people feeling anxious and led to sleep problems.
