Earlier this month, Kevin Kinard was visiting Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.
This wasn’t his first visit. 33-year-old Kevin had been going to the park since a second-grade field trip, even though he had always come back empty-handed. No diamonds for him … until this trip.
He stumbled upon a marble-sized crystal -- that happens to be a 9.07-carat diamond, the second largest found in the history of the park.
And at Crater of the Diamonds State Park, it’s finders-keepers, so Kevin was able to take his new treasure home with him
