Can't go trick or treating this year? Well, now you can ... virtually. Mars Wrigley, the largest candy company in the world, has created theTreat Townapp, which will enable users to virtually trick-or-treat from the safety of their own homes at places like Disney’s Haunted Mansion and M&M World in Times Square.
When parents sign up for an account their kids will be able to participate in a variety of other fun events throughout the month, as well -- like decorating a virtual door, creating an avatar, and purchasing virtual candy credits, which can later be redeemed for actual candy or donated to organizations like the Boys and Girls Club.
