HALLOWEEN: Nearly 50% of Americans Won’t Be Handing Out Candy This Year

According to a new survey by Apartment Guide, 46% of Americans are choosing not to hand out candy this year due to coronavirus concerns. 34% said they are going to celebrate Halloween as usual, and 16% say they would be celebrating Halloween – but would do it with health and safety guidelines in mind – and do things like candy scavenger hunts and virtual costume parties.

Of the 34% who plan to celebrate Halloween as usual, 30% say they are going to open the door to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters like they would any other year, while 24% plan to just leave a bowl of candy outside. (People)
