THANKSGIVING: 38% Planning Large Gatherings

Health experts are urging Americans to have smaller gatherings for Thanksgiving this year amid surging coronavirus cases, but they know that 100% compliance is highly unlikely. But they will still be disappointed by a recent survey which shows that, despite the warnings, nearly 40% of people plan to attend a large gathering.

The survey, conducted byThe Ohio State University, finds that 38% will spend the day with 10 or more people and 27% say they don't plan on social distancing.

Also, 33% say they will not ask guests to wear masks and, amazingly, 20% say they won't even turn away guests who are exhibiting coronavirus symptoms.
