Ice Bucket Challenge Co-Founder Pat Quinn Has Died At 37


The co-founder of the Ice Bucket Challenge died on Sunday from Lou Gehrig's disease.

The ALS Association released a statement (quote) “It is with great sadness that we must share the passing of Patrick Quinn early this morning. He was a blessing to us all in so many ways. We will always remember him for his inspiration and courage in his tireless fight against ALS.”

During the summer of 2014, the Ice Bucket Challenge raised a quarter-billion dollars toward fighting the debilitating disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Pete Frates was the inspiration behind the Challenge. He died almost exactly one year ago
