Pilar Pasada of North Bergen, New Jersey, is a fashion designer putting her talents to good use by creating and donating reusable masks to local students.
Pilar wanted to create face covers that weren’t so plain or intimidating. So, she and her husband put together more than 1,200 hand-sewn, machine washable masks with fun designs that are “built to last.”
The generosity of Pilar and her husband was highlighted by the mayor of North Bergen, who personally thanked the couple for their thoughtfulness.
And now, the masks are in the hands of students who are doing their best to stay safe, especially when taking care of their schoolwork and other activities on-campus.
