Governor Announces Special Session On Recreational Marijuana

KOB-TV: New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has announced there will be a special session in about two weeks for lawmakers to try and pass recreational marijuana again.

House Bill 12was not heard on the Senate floor afterpassing its final committee on a 5-4 vote around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. The 60-day regular session ended Saturday at noon. 

"It's not really goodbye," Lujan Grisham said. "It's take a rest and I'll see you soon." 

New Mexico would be the 16th state to legalize recreational marijuana.
